This article talks about wolves in Wyoming. The gray wolf has been taken off the endangered species list in Idaho and Montana but because Wyoming does not like the increased population because they kill the game and livestock. The Wyoming government has had to make a deal with the federal government about how the wolves will be dealt with when the state is in charge. As of right now the wolves are not allowed to be hunted; however if the population gets out of hand the people will be allowed to hunt them to control it. This is a debated topic. Environmentalists feel that is wolves should be protected and do need areas to retreat to like national parks, but others feel they should be hunted to protect the livestock and game.
