SAVE Summer Nature Camps
For children in grades
K through 4
9 am to 12 pm (early arrival available at 8am) Monday through Friday $68
All camps are located at the Student Environmental Education Campus next to the West Broad Street Elementary School in Souderton, PA
Sign-up for one week or all!
Each week is different.
All camps will be outdoors at SEEC, the Student Environmental Education Center: A 7-acre environmental center complete with a classroom AND a nature center containing nature trails, outdoor classrooms, wooded area, four ponds, athletic fields, and a wetland education area.
Camps will be run by the national award-winning SAVE members (recent Souderton Area HS graduates) and directed by environmental educator

Week 1: Happy Planet Week
(June 18 – June 22) 9am to noon
Learn what you can do to help our planet. This week is full of fun and educational activities designed to help our campers learn about ways to protect our environment. Campers will enjoy many environmental games and activities that show how plants and animals have adapted to their environment and what we need to do to protect them.
Week 2: Bug’ in Out Week
(June 25 – June 29) 9 am to noon
Insects are everywhere. In fact, there are more insects than any other type of animal on our planet. Yet we know little about them and their importance to our natural world. Explore the secrets of this little known part of nature. Campers will learn to search for bugs in all kinds of places. We will look for them in every corner of the environmental center and collect some to be examined with microscopes and other scientific instruments. This is a unique opportunity to learn about the fascinating world of our insect friends.
Week 3: WILD HABITAT Week
(July 9 – July 13) 9 am to noon
Using clues left in the wild, we will explore where wildlife lives and how it survives. Campers will enjoy a variety of fun activities that will help them to understand how the many forms of wildlife can survive in our nature center. We will also explore how humans live in communities. The highlight of the week will be the construction of a giant model town created by the campers on the soccer field!!!
Week 4: WILD WATER Week FULL
(July 23 – July 27) 9 am to noon {Do NOT Sign-Up for this week!}
Water, water everywhere! This week will be focus on the importance of water in nature and our lives. Campers will learn about what we do with nature’s most importance resource. It features the fun water activities from our most popular week and will introduce some new wild water adventures! Explore what hides within our many ponds! Learn all about the aquatic ecosystem and the effects of water pollution. Bring a bathing suit because you’re going to get wet during our water games and activities.
Week 5: Backyard Safari Week
(July 30 – August 3) 9 am to noon
Wildlife is everywhere in our nature center. All you have to do is go exploring and look closely to find it! Campers will spend the week looking, collecting and identifying the many forms of wildlife found throughout the center. Campers will get a chance to use our giant nets to catch and identify all types of creatures in the woods, fields and ponds!

Your child will have a fun time outdoors doing activities that foster a better understanding of our natural world. These camps are a fun way to learn! Campers will do scavenger hunts in the woods; catch creatures in our ponds; play games in the open field; and much more!
Your child will also enjoy interacting with our motivated and responsible high school and college student volunteers. All activities are directed by the SAVE members!
